Alice Elizabeth Waggoner, a lifelong member of Port Orchard, departed this world peacefully at her home on January 11, 2026, at the age of 82 surrounded by family. Born in Bremerton, Washington, on April 24, 1943, Alice was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She dedicated over three decades to Kitsap Bank, where she built significant lifelong relationships with both colleagues and customers alike. From 1979 until her retirement in 2010, Alice brought her unwavering commitment and integrity to her work, becoming a familiar and trusted presence at the bank.
Alice's academic roots run deep in her local community, having attended Orchard Heights Elementary, Marcus Whitman Junior High, and proudly graduating from South Kitsap High School in the class of 1961. She found solace and joy in reading, loved gardening and her roses.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Johnson; her sister, Geraldine (Johnson) Passage; her sons, Gary Waggoner and Daniel Waggoner; her beloved granddaughter, Taylor Waggoner, daughter-in-law Temple Waggoner, and grandsons Carsten and Zachary Wheeler.
Alice's legacy also includes those who predeceased her, including her father, Lennert Johnson, and her mother, Norma (Hedner) Johnson.
An open-house reception will be held on March 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington to honor Alice's life. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories and celebrate her life.
Alice Elizabeth Waggoner, forever loved, will be profoundly missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will undoubtedly remain a guiding light in their lives.
