Ann D. Brody, born on June 23, 1948, to Ruth and Homer Bates, left us peacefully on her 77th birthday, June 23, 2025. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and adventure.
Annie was cherished by her family, including her two sisters, Vickie, who predeceased her in 2010, and Theresa. She was especially close to her cousin Rhonda, who was loved like a sister by Ann's family.
Annie's legacy continues through her four beloved nephews: Michael and Michelle, along with their girls, Amanda, Julie, and Terri; Jacob and Deann; Patrick and Katherine and their son Riley; and Christopher and Danielle, together with their children Anthony and Katelyn. The bonds of family extended to many cousins in West Virginia and to her dear Uncle Donald, Aunt Pat, and their daughters Sherri, Kelly, and Kim.
Annie was a passionate sports enthusiast, unwaveringly devoted to her favorite sports—baseball and football. She filled the stands at her great nieces’ softball and volleyball games. she got to know fans, the players and refs. LOL. The joy of sport was mirrored in her own childhood enthusiasm for playing softball.
Her adventurous spirit led her throughout beautiful destinations, from the beaches of Hawaii and Mexico to the scenic views of Lake Tahoe and the heartwarming landscapes of California and West Virginia. Professionally, Annie dedicated 20 years of her life as an insurance agent, followed by another 20 years serving as a social worker, where she touched countless lives with her kindness and compassion.
Filled with a playful sense of humor, Annie loved to joke, share laughter, and embark on new adventures, always eager to explore new experiences. She lived a life rich in joy and in the love of those around her.
Annie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her vibrant spirit and the light she brought into the lives of everyone she met.
