Anna Herrick

Anna R. Herrick, 84 of Port Orchard, Washington died on March 31, 2001. She was born on January 12, 1917 in New Braunfels, Texas to Johann & Josephina (Ciemala) Opryshek. She graduated from high school in New Braunfels and the University of Texas in Austin. Anna married A. Peter Emig in Houston, Texas in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1965.Mrs. Herrick worked for 30 years as an Elementary Teacher in Houston, Texas and Cupertino, California. She retired in 1981. Anna enjoyed quilting.Surviving are sons Peter Emig of El Dorado, Arkansas and John Emig of Napa, California; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Regina Anna Ronk in July 2000.There are no services scheduled at this time.
