Cory Dean Daniels

Cory Dean Daniels passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025 at the age of 74. Cory was born in Bremerton, Washington and grew up in the Bellevue area, attending Newport High School, where he excelled in both golf and baseball. He developed his great passion for baseball and became a 'walking statistician' for all things related to and about baseball. He graduated from Washington State University in 1973 and remained a die-hard, lifetime Coug.

His Bachelor of Arts degree from Wazzu landed Cory a job with Northwest Airlines headquartered in Minneapolis where he purchased fuel for the Airline for a number of years. He then pursued another side of the industry, this time selling fuel products at Coastal Petroleum and later Tesoro Petroleum in Houston, TX. While still working for Tesoro, Cory transferred to Auburn, Washington and retired a few short years later. Retirement meant more time pursuing his love for baseball and he spent every Spring In Peoria following the progress of the Mariners.

Cory is survived by his father, Dean Daniels, sister, Kyle Marie and brother Craig (Debbie) Corbett, along with cousins Jim England, Judie Sparks, Wendy (Carl) Kresge, Paula (Jerry) Baruffi, Jerre Daniels-Hall, Kimberly Marchel, Terry Daniels, Randy Daniels, and Ronda Daniels.
