Diane Delores Horan, born on September 29, 1944, in Bremerton, Washington, passed away peacefully in Silverdale, WA on June 16, 2025, at the age of 80.
Diane was known for her quick wit, warm heart, and impeccable sense of style. She spent many years serving as a computer assistant for the Department of Defense, but her true passion may have been interior design. Her homes were always beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, and full of personality and charm.
If you ever needed a dining companion, Diane was the first to say yes. She loved going out to eat, especially if it involved Chinese food, and could always be counted on to share a laugh over a good meal. She had a gift for making people feel heard and loved. She was a sweet soul with a great sense of humor who could always bring a smile or a giggle, no matter the occasion.
Diane found joy in life’s simple pleasures: a well-decorated room, a good conversation, elephants (which she adored), and a stroll through her favorite store, Arnold’s in Bremerton. She made every space — and every moment — more beautiful just by being part of it.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Amy), daughter, Channy (Larry), and her beloved grandchildren: Marcus, Caroline, Areeya, Alexis, and Jacob. She also leaves behind her brother, Howard, of Prescott, Arizona, and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her Friend's Luncheon group- Sandy, Lela, Mary, Diane and Sheila, whose lifelong friendships brought her many years of joy and laughter.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Martin “Mickey” Horan (2011); her sister, Terry (2018); and her parents, Merl (1978) and Lucille (1998).
No formal services will be held at this time. However, if you’d like to honor Diane’s memory, treat yourself to your favorite Chinese dish or a shopping spree at Arnold’s Home Furnishings!
