Donald Reese Locker

August 18, 1931 — November 30, 2025

Donald (Don) Reese Locker, aged 94, of Silverdale, Washington passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 30th. He had hit his head during a fall on November 27th, Thanksgiving Day, causing injury with no hope of recovery. He was a dedicated physicist for the US government, retiring at the age of 87.

He was an expert story and anecdote teller and always had a nugget to share. He loved music and those that heard him sing remember what a blessing it was. His departure has left a huge hole in many lives. His wife of 58 years, SherLee, passed away in February 2016. He is survived by three children and their spouses: Taylor and Stephanie Locker of Hill AFB, Utah; Sharon and Lee Augsburger of Severna Park, Maryland; Ione and Jim Friedly of Peyton, Colorado; together with four grandchildren and spouses: Jonathan and Jessica Locker of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Steven and Hope Locker of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Rachel and Patrick Resler of Naples, Italy; and Alicia and Jordan Miller of Gardena, California; and two step-grandchildren and spouses: Justin and Kristen Friedly of Ft Collins, Colorado; and Jarret and Danielle Friedly of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Also, four great grandchildren: Gavin and Beckett Locker, Michael and Jacob Locker, and seven great step-grandchildren: Brynnan, Kaelyn, Avery, and McKinley Friedly; and Morrigan, Torin, and Kiera Friedly.

A memorial service will be held on January 3rd, 2026 at Grace Bible Church in Port Orchard, Washington with his beloved church family at 10am. All are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BrightFocus Foundation - a premier funder of research for Macular Degeneration, Alzheimer’s, and Glaucoma.
