It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of beloved spouse, mother, auntie and friend Hermelina Banzon (Nuestro Bobadilla) 83, who passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026 in Port Orchard, WA.

Born on May 19, 1943 in Indang Cavite, Philippines, she was known by Ellen to neighbors and friends. She was a loving woman who enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She spent her life raising a family, and working as an OB nurse at the former Harrison Memorial Hospital.

Above all, Ellen was a devoted mother who found joy in the simple things: cooking and tending to her garden. She will be remembered for her generous spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rafael and Rosa (Nuestro) Bobadilla, brothers Rafael Jr and Rogelio (Roger) Bobadilla and sister Eleanor (Bobadilla) and Sid Gomez.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years Jovito Banzon; children Mark and his wife Sylvia Banzon, Ryan Banzon and Alan Banzon; brother Benedicto and Rose Bobadilla; sister-in-law Belinda (Nilda) Bobadilla; also, her nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. We will all miss her warmth and beautiful smile dearly.

A celebration of Ellen’s remarkable life will be held on July 9 at 2 pm at Rill’s Life Tribute Center 1151 Mitchell Ave, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
