Jacob was born December 21,1991, in Olympia, Washington at St. Peter's Hospital
- Jacob was born with a congenital heart defect (Transposition of the Great Arteries) that required major surgery 5 days after he was born at Children's hospital in Seattle.
- He had numerous other surgeries in his younger years at different hospitals in Seattle and Portland.
- He is survived by his parents Douglas Jr, & Carol, brother John Silberman, and several Uncles, Aunts & Cousins.
- He lived in East Grays Harbor County when he was very young, but lived most of his life with his parents at Lake Limerick outside of Shelton, WA
- He attended Pioneer Elementary and Middle Schools, Jacob graduated from Shelton High School in 2011
- He had several jobs over the years with Alderbrook Resort, Lake Limerick Inn, and worked as a security guard at Simpson Lumber Mill before it closed,
- He loved the outdoors and hiked over 100 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail and many other trails in the Olympic Mountains with the Boy Scouts of America Troop #126
- He enjoyed fishing at the lake and the Pacific Ocean
- He enjoyed his travels on cruise ships with his parents to Mexico and the Caribbean but enjoyed Alaska cruises the most.
- He read scripture from the Bible every day and took his Bible while traveling.
- He loved being an Uncle to his nephews and niece.
- The birthdays and holiday gatherings were special to him,
- He loved his little dog Buddy
- He was a gentle, kind soul that was blessed by many friends throughout his life.
