Jean Elizabeth Schultz went to heaven on September 12, 2026 in the afternoon, age 100, in Olalla, Washington. Jean was the daughter of Paul Leray Richardson and Marion May Frazer born on April 14, 1926 in Battleboro, Vermont. Jean was laid to rest on September 23, 2026 in Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington with her beloved husband, Donald Ferdinand Schultz. They were married on July 2, 1945 in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
Jean was never satisfied with the status quo. She was always trying to motivate and looking for ways to improve her family’s life. Mom taught me to write, read, spell, paint, rock hound, make jewelry, antiquing, and how to budget. She was an artist, a rock hound and a musician.
Jean played the keyboard at the Shelton prison and at the retirement home with friends Gil and Betty Palmer. She was anointed as a Minister of Music. She not only was able to read music, but she could listen and play what she heard. She could add in the bells and whistles. She played for Victory Church in Gorst in the mid 90’s.
Wife, Mother, Nana and Friend. She is survived by her daughter Bambi E. Morton, and husband Paul S. Morton, her son Paul F. Schultz and wife Cynthia; grandchildren Ariel E. Morton, Dustin, Haley, Macia and two great grandchildren.
The graveside service had an Honor Guard for Donald F. Schultz who served during WWII in the Army- Air Force. Pastor Bruce Duggan gave the eulogy and sang two of Jean’s favorite hymns, “in the Garden” and “Because He Lives”.
The service was attended by Paul, Bambi, and Ariel Morton, Paul and Cynthia Schultz, Stewart Hudson, Will Muzzella and Ann McKellan.
Don and Jean are together again in heaven. We are happy for them, but our hearts are heavy as we greatly miss them. We will love them forever. “Till we meet again”.
