December 2, 1944 — April 24, 2025

Gig Harbor

Joanne Quisenberry, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was 80 years old.

Born on December 2, 1944, in Tulelake, California, Joanne was the daughter of Kazuo and Kikue Sasaki and the sister of Alan Sasaki (Linda). Joanne pursued her passion for helping others by earning a degree in Social Work from the University of California, San Francisco - laying the foundation for a life defined by compassion, service and kindness.

Joanne married the love of her life, William “Kin” Quisenberry, and together they built a home filled with love. She was a proud and devoted mother to Michelle, Nicole Suckoll (Eric), and Rob Davis, a doting grandmother to Noelle, Cloe, and Tyler; and beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life, Joanne was a constant presence in her community, particularly through her years of volunteer work with Planned Parenthood and in South Kitsap schools, where she was lovingly referred to by students as "Mrs. Q." Known for her kind and giving spirit, Joanne had an extraordinary ability to make those around her feel seen and cared for. She lived with grace, humility, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others.

Whether cheering on her grandchildren at every dance recital or sporting event, discovering new restaurants, or quietly lending a hand to someone in need, Joanne’s legacy is one of generosity, love, and selflessness. Her life was a beautiful example of the power of kindness.

She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by those who had the privilege to know and love her.

A celebration of life will be held this summer to honor Joanne’s memory.
