John Arena

John S. Arena, 58 of Bremerton, died July 24, 2008.  He was born May 2, 1950 in Seattle, WA to Joseph & Doris (Meyer) Arena.  He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1968, Olympic College in 1970, and Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA in 1972 with a Bachelor's Degree.  He married Vicki Nutter on January 18, 2003 in Port Orchard. John worked for 30 years as a Machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, retiring in 2005.  He was a committee person for Democratic Precinct 32.  He was a train collector and HAM radio operator. Surviving are wife Vicki, father Joseph Arena of Bremerton;  brother Richard (Chris) Arena of Bremerton; sister Beverly (Bill) Unruh of Belfair; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm followed by Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 1, 2008 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.  Memorial donations to American Cancer Society.
