Jonathan “Jon” Henry Huebert of Port Orchard, Washington, passed away on October 3rd , 2025. Jon, also known to family and friends as “Jon Jon”, was only 55 years old at the time of his passing. He was just 15 days shy of his 56th birthday. Jon’s passing was due to an unexpected cardiac event that occurred without warning. The sudden loss has broken the hearts of his family and friends as he is greatly missed.
Jon was born on October 17th , 1969, in Bremerton, Washington, to parents Henry “Hank” Huebert and Antonia “Toni” Huebert. Jon was the baby of the family, being the youngest of four children. Jon’s father, Hank, instilled a passion for hunting and fishing in Jon’s heart from a young age. Jon was an avid outdoorsman who had achieved the status of Master Hunter.
Jon’s other passions included craftsman work, taxidermy (European mounts), and the collection of rare firearms and fishing rods. Jon had created several works of art that incorporated antlers, mounts, and outdoor themes. Additionally, Jon had a skilled hand at carving beautiful works of art into the handles of hunting knives and rifle stalks. He shared all these passions with his family and friends.
Jon will be remembered as a kind, caring, and giving individual. Jon would go out of his way to take care of his family and friends. He was dependable and always willing to help. This rang true until the day he passed as he was living at the family home to assist his mother with the estate.
Jon worked as a Meat Cutter for Costco in Silverdale, Washington, for 25 years before retiring in 2022 at the age of 52.
Jon was predeceased by his father Henry Huebert Jr. Surviving family members include: mother, Antonia Huebert; Brothers: David and Michael Huebert; Sister, Susan Knox; Nephew, Andrew Huebert, Nieces: Keeli Nelson, Elizabeth Huebert and Andrea Huhta (husband Caleb Huhta); Great Nephew, Kristoffer Huebert; and his beloved canine companion, Annie Rose.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1st , 2025, at Whiskey Gulch Restaurant, located at 2065 Bay Street, Port Orchard, Washington, 98366, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm in the upstairs banquet room.
We welcome everyone who knew Jon to come celebrate his life and share your memories of him with family and friends. Appetizers and beverages are on us, so PLEASE come and help us celebrate Jon who was taken from us too soon.
According to Jon’s wishes, his ashes will be spread in the Hoh River within the Hoh Rain Forest on the Washington State Peninsula where he spent many summers fishing for Steelhead with his father and camping with his family.
As Jon’s family, we would like to express our gratitude to those who have supported us and honored Jon during this difficult time. We also want to extend our thanks to the first responders for their valent efforts to save Jon and the comfort they provided us in the aftermath.
Jon, you are missed and the hole you left in our hearts will be difficult to fill. You are endlessly loved! Until we meet again Brother…
