Leona Peterson

Leona L. Peterson, 96, of Port Orchard, Washington died on August 29, 2000 in Port Orchard. She was born July 2, 1904 in Dundee, Minnesota to Frank & Mary (Stumm)Knott. Leona graduated from St. James High School in 1921. She attended Wiaona Normal School College in 1923 where she became a school teacher.She married Walter B. Peterson on July 2, 1928. Walter preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Peterson enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening and quilting.Surviving is son Robert and Judy her daughter-in-law; daughter Kay Rose of Alexandria, Virginia, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.Inurnment will be in Dundee, Minnesota.
