We are here to remember the life of Lillian R. Ganalon. Known for her witty and funny nature, Lillian charmed people with her engaging stories and radiant smile. She was, and will always be, deeply loved and cherished in the hearts of those who knew her. She was born in Bato, Leyte Philippines. She was married to Paul Ganalon Sr.. Lillian is survived by her daughter Geralyn Gibson, son-in-law Tim Gibson, her granddaughter Gina Rollman, grandson-in-law Christopher Rollman, great granddaughter Quinn Rollman, step-children Paul Ganalon Jr., Helen Ulloa, Eggy Bucat (deceased) and beloved nieces Marcella Florendo and Suzette Atkins. As an adored educator she inspired hope, ignited the imagination, and instilled a love of learning. Lillian's immense pride in education began in 1953 where she graduated with B.S. in Education from San Carlos University and in 1986 received her Master of Art in Education from Seattle Pacific University. In 1954 -1965 she taught at Fr. Urios High School, then from 1989 -1997 at Hazel Elementary and retired within the Highline School District . In her profession, she touched the lives of many children, leaving a lasting impression on them. She was a fiercely independent woman with a powerful spirit, and her unique outlook on life amazed those around her. Lillian was a remarkable woman who prioritized her family and valued the everlasting importance of education. She spent her time teaching nursery rhymes, reading her favorite children's book the "Very Hungry Caterpillar", watching I Love Lucy and even shopping for hours! Our family is blessed to have shared these memories with her great-granddaughter Quinn who was her treasure. There is a short story written by Loren Eiseley called "The Star Thrower" that embodies Lillian's strength, discipline, and love in every aspect of her life. You are all here today because Lillian made a difference in your life and we will all love and cherish her for being in our lives for 95 beautiful years. Thank you Nana for your timeless legacy.
