Mark Allan Tripple, age 69, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, at the Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, Washington. Born on May 11, 1956, in Fargo, North Dakota, Mark lived a life full of compassion and selflessness.
Mark joined the Navy when he was 26 years old. He served for 20 years as an electrician for aircraft carriers, including the USS Enterprise, the USS Midway, the USS Independence, and the USS Carl Vinson. After retiring from the navy, he worked at the Bremerton Naval Shipyard until he officially retired in 2021.
During his duty in Japan, he met and married Yoko Tripple in 1988. They were married for 36 years. Their marriage saw the highs and lows of life, but their devotion and love for each other was full of warmth and understanding. Even with differences in culture and language, their love surpassed any miscommunications they may have had.
After living in Japan for 8 years, Mark moved with his family to Port Orchard, WA. There, they decided to stay and created a calm, peaceful home together. At home, Mark enjoyed watching shows and movies on TV while sitting in his favorite computer chair. Outside, he enjoyed playing golf, even competing in a few tournaments, and going to the casino.
Mark is survived by his wife, Yoko Tripple, his three children, Helen Tripple, Lori Whitmore, and Shawn Tripple, and his grandchildren, Ryder, Addison, Cade, and Tate.
Although a quiet man of few words, when he did talk, he was always cracking jokes to make others laugh and was a calm and caring figure that was always there when you needed his guidance. He was someone who always watched from a distance and was there for you when you needed it.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Rill Chapel Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
