Oddny
Jones
May 5, 1944 — Sep 29, 2026
It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of Oddny Bradley Jones.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, 9/29/2026 Oddny Bradley Jones passed away at St Michael’s hospital.
Her service will be on Friday, 10/9 at 11:00 AM at:
11070 Old Frontier Rd NW, Silverdale, WA 98383
She would want each of you to know just how deeply she loved and cared for you. And while we will all grieve her loss, she would want us to find comfort and peace in knowing that she is now reunited with her Heavenly Father and her beloved husband, Barry.
Oddny Bradley Jones was born on May 5,1944, in Drammen, Norway. As a young woman, she came to the United States for a nannying job, where she met Barry Bradley. They married in 1965 and built a beautiful life together, raising four children—Stephanie, Ryan, Kari, and Kevin. Oddny found tremendous joy in being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Her faith was central to her life after she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving others and held many Church callings, including Relief Society President, Primary President, and Temple worker. Through these roles and countless quiet acts of kindness, she touched many lives.
When Barry was diagnosed with cancer, Oddny cared for him devotedly. After 47 years of marriage Barry passed on from his illness. Later, through shared faith and friendship, she found love again with Bob Jones. They married in 2013 and enjoyed many travels and adventures, but most cherished was their life and companionship together.
Near the end of her life, Oddny faced serious heart problems and fought bravely through many complications that resulted from those. She passed peacefully into her heavenly home surrounded by her family. Her children and many of her grandchildren gathered around her...fifteen of us, talking to her, singing, holding her hands, and loving her until the end.
Oddny’s life was defined by faith, service, devotion, and most of all love. She was deeply loved and leaves behind a lasting legacy in her family and in all those whose lives she touched. She will be remembered and missed more than words can express.
