Patricia Mead

Patricia L. Mead, 82 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on July 4, 2008.  She was born September 23, 1925 in Minnesota to Fred & Eleanor (Colby) Nolan.  She married David Mead on July 5, 1946 in Port Orchard.  He preceded her in death in 1999.  Pat was a homemaker and day care provider for her grandchildren.  She also sold "Beeline" fashions and worked with her husband in their Fireplace Shop which was the first in Kitsap County.    Pat was an avid word searcher and enjoyed bowling, knitting, painting, gardening, and collecting various styles of shoes. She loved raising Dachshunds, Toy Poodles, and her Chihuahua "Ginger.  She was a member of Eagles & Royal Neighbors.  Her family will miss her great cooking!  Surviving are daughters Deborah Christiansen of Port Orchard and Mary (Neal) Miller of Grapeview; grandchildren Patrick, David, Mickey, Sheri (Jim), Kristin, Kari (Lloyd), Kevin, & Kyle; great-grandchildren Jeremy, Niketa, Haley, Nicolas, Tyler, Brandon, Darrell, & Anthoney.  Graveside service 11:00am on July 11, 2008 at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.  Celebration of Life & Reception will follow at Port Orchard Eagles.    The family extends their gratitude to Life Care Center of Port Orchard for the love and commitment they gave to their "Mom & Grandma".
