Sue Reed

Sue Reed, 75 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on July 30, 2012.  She was born August 3, 1936 in Chattanooga, TN to Ward & Margaret (Carlson) Hastings.  She married Amos Reed on June 26, 1965 in San Mateo, CA.  He preceded her in death June 29, 2005. Sue was a stay at home Mom providing love and fun and care to her two devoted children.  She also worked as a child care provider for health clubs around the San Mateo, CA area for over 5 years.  She enjoyed baking Christmas brownies, playing with her two grandsons and caring for her dogs “Leroy” & “Shadow”. Surviving are son Steven Reed of Port Orchard; daughter Sandra (Michael) Bueno of Port Orchard; sister Margaret Parsons of Port Orchard; grandchildren Nate Sawyer & Tony Bueno;  and niece Carol Parsons.  She was preceded in death by brothers Donald & Richard Hastings, sisters Mildred Pruitt, Mary Hall, Doris Slothower & Jean Hayes. Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am on Friday, August 3, 2012 at First Lutheran Community Church in Port Orchard with burial following at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.  Online memorial at www.rill.com
