Vanessa Button Crowley

Vanessa Button Crowley, age 40, of Allyn, Washington, passed away on February 8, 2026. Born in Germany, Vanessa’s life was shaped by adventure, creativity, and deep love for family and community. She lived on Orcas Island, Wa and Maui, Hi before settling in Allyn, Wa.

Vanessa graduated from Orcas Island High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Business Administration through studies at Pacific Lutheran University and Western Governors University. Her professional life reflected her versatility and drive—she worked as an editor for the North Bay Review, a Senior Operations Manager, as an insurance agent, and also a Fitness Coach. She was also a gifted artist, expressing her creativity through many forms.

Above all, Vanessa was a devoted and loving mother to her children, Ethan Crowley and Adrianna Crowley, who were the center of her world. She was fiercely proud of them and deeply committed to their future.

Vanessa was actively involved in the Allyn Community Association and the bleeding disorder community, always willing to lend her time, voice, and heart to others. She will be remembered as smart, beautiful and compassionate. 

She is survived by her beloved Ohana. As Vanessa often said, “Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.”
