Born in Chewelah, WA. on July 15, 1925 and died January 17, 2026. Virginia married James on July 6, 1946. They lived together in the home they built for 76 years. James died October 7, 2022. Virginia continued to live in their home until her death. She was a housewife and mother until 1967 when she went to work for Harrison Memorial Hospital as a transcriptionist. She retired from there in 1987 after 20 years of service. She and Jim spent many times with their friends golfing, playing cards, and traveling. She loved to shop, read, crochet and work on puzzles. A good time for her was when she could have a beer and hamburger at Hi-Tide Tavern. Virginia is survived by her two children, James C. McCary and Pamela Hollar. She also has three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be held at Rill Chapel on Sunday, February 1 at 2:00pm.
